About Sergio Baril - Owner

Sergio Baril was born and raised in Mexico City to French parents. He moved to LA in the 1970's and went to work for Tiffany & Company on the world famous Rodeo Drive. After a stint with the famous jewelry company, Sergio was approached by the famous French jeweler Fred Samuel and immediately went to work with him. After studying Gemology at UCLA, Baril was starting to come into his own and was soon building a reputation in the business.

Working for such a prestigious jeweler in a luxurious area had its perks and Baril has sold jewelry to such prestigious clients as Frank Sinatra, Sylvester Stallone, Arnold Schwarzenegger, and the Sultan of Brunei. He even sold Jonny Carson his engagement ring.

Oddly enough, it was the fossilized shark teeth of Venice that originally drew Baril to the area. He loves collecting them to incorporate in his designs and was immediately taken by the natural charm of our area. He soon came to realize that Sarasota is the cultural capital of Florida and decided that this would be a great place to call home. He loves the beaches, museums, and the small town atmosphere.
